Cabin Odour: Why Your Car Smells and How to Fix It

Three causes cover most smells we see: a damp evaporator, spilled liquid under the carpet, or something organic left in a seat. Each one needs a different fix, and only one of them needs the full odour package. We explain how to narrow it down before you spend money.

Brake Pads: When Yours Actually Need Replacing

Squeal gets people into the shop faster than anything else, and half the time the pads have 40 percent left. Here is what we measure, what the wear indicator actually sounds like, and why the cheapest set is not always the saving it looks like.

How we write these

No listicles, no filler paragraphs

Every article starts as a job sheet. Someone here worked on the car, found the problem and wrote down what happened. If a fix did not work, that goes in too, because the failures are usually more useful than the tidy success stories.

We also quote the price we charged. That way you can compare it against the published rates on the price list and see whether a job like yours is worth doing at all.
